I'm so glad you liked my recommendation :)...Before I read this book I never could really understand what the big deal about Julia Child was. Since reading I have actually tried out a few of her recipes!!!!!! They have been mightily well received...But really how could something go wrong that involves that much better? Julies writing is so raw and honest....gotta love that rarity in a culture thick with pretense :)
Love

Awesome review, Tanya! I have always loved JULIA CHILD! the personality, and yet never opened a cookbook of hers ... probably for all the same reasons as you! Sounds like a Julie takes the reader romping merrily through Julia's culinary world from a fresh and delicious angle! Brilliantly written... and thanks for sharing! Now ... can I borrow it?
Love love,
Ashley

Hey Tanya,
Wow, having read the book, now, your review is so much more vivid. It really is a wonderful story and your enthusiasm for Eat Pray Love comes through loud and clear. Interesting to see it in retrospect and realize how deeply and subtly it's affected us all.... Well done!
Love,
Ashley

I can't read this review yet b/c I have the book and haven't read it yet! I'm sure there are some spoilers in your review. But I'll come back to it when I finish. I'm glad you're back on the lit reviews!!!!

Tanya,
How do you do it??? I like reading your reviews more than reading the books. They are so much more interesting and fun. Miss you at yoga and coffee.

Tanya, Your review is so wonderfully written. I especially appreciate the reminder about life before electronics, your big old lovely fun mobile and our lack of real progress on things like racism. Thank you so very much for your lovely reminders and your amazing reviews!

Hey Tanya,

As always, a brilliant review! The second paragraph is inspired and your take on the whole book is hilariously funny while being perfectly pitched. Love all the new additions, too!

Wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Much love,

Hi Tanya:

LOVED your review, especially the part about nosing around the book!

I wish I liked gruel, but I think it was a very apt choice.

Please keep me posted!

All best wishes,

Anita
