Roost Project

Roost was a design & maker project based originally in Muirhouse by resident artist Lindsay Perth.

At the end of 2016, in Muirhouse Shopping Centre, 200 plain birdhouses made from OSB bling-ed and ‘pimped’ into 200 unique artworks by the local community, NHS staff, Scottish-based artists. The 200 birdhouses were brought together for a week’s interactive light installation. In 2017 the birdhouses were displayed at Custom Lane, Leith in the run up to the epic Roost Auction which raised over £1500 for maker groups based at North Edinburgh Arts.
